Eugène Sartory

EUGÈNE SARTORY(1871 - 1946) was born in Mirecourt in 1871. A pupil of his father, the bowmaker JOSEPH EUSTACHE SARTORY, he moved to Paris to work with Charles Peccatte, then Vigneron père in Paris  also for Alfred Lamy for several years. Ultimately, he opened his own workshop in Paris, aged 18. Sartory was the bowmaker of the greatest soloists and crowned heads of his time.
