Joseph Alfred Lamy père

JOSEPH ALFRED LAMY père (1850 - 1919) was the son of a violinmaker and started his apprenticeship with Claude Charles Nicolas Husson. He became the assistant to Voirin in Paris in 1876 and in 1885 set up his own business and produced many bows highly regarded for their aesthetical and technical qualities. His eldest son, Hippolyte Camille succeeded him after his death in 1919.
